"Conducting Case Investigations and Forensic Interviews with Children and Adolescents with Developmental Disabilities"

Presented by Deborah Davies and Tracy Guaderamma. The focus of this training is multidisciplinary team response to allegations of sexual abuse or assault when the victim is a child or adolescent with a developmental disability.

The RURAL Project Presents: "Training for Effective Child Welfare Practice in Rural Communities: Working with Drug Abusing Families"

This training will provide: a concise overview of new information regarding the signs, symptoms, psychological and physical effects of drug abuse; review prenatal issues, neuro-chemical issues, and childhood development issues within drug abusing families; provide specific skills and strategies to assist social workers in identification, assessment, intervention, and referral for substance abusing families. This training is appropriate for: social workers whose case load involves working with drug abusing families in rural communities. Attendees should have a need to gain greater knowledge and skills in effectively identifying, assessing, and referring families when substance abuse is present.
